Plan a replacement or maintenance move without cancelling the services your current website still needs.
If you already have a website, ask the team to assess it before choosing between maintenance and a replacement. The platform, access, pages and integrations affect what can be kept and what needs rebuilding. A monthly plan does not automatically include every migration task.
Send the current website address through Messages in the dashboard or app if you have a Netbound website order. Before ordering, use the website chat bubble or Netbound's contact page. An AI assistant may answer first and hand the conversation to a person on the Netbound team.
Include:
Ask the team to confirm the proposed work, plan fit, extra costs and access needed. Do not send passwords in the message; arrange an authorised access method with the team.
Do not cancel your old hosting or change the domain's website records while the replacement is still being prepared. Review the new preview and agree the switch with the team first. Keeping the current services active is a step you need to arrange with the existing provider, not something a new Netbound order does automatically.
Check the replacement on a phone and computer. Review the services, prices and contact details. Test enquiry or booking actions with the team so test submissions are recognised. Confirm which existing page addresses will stay the same and which need redirects.
Google's guidance for URL changes explains how redirects and monitoring help during a move. A migration does not guarantee unchanged search traffic or rankings.
DNS changes can take time to appear. Keep the old hosting available until you and the team have checked the replacement and any agreed redirects. Confirm separately with the old provider when it is safe to cancel and whether its hosting package also provides email or other services you still need.
Send the affected address, exact error and when it started through Messages. Tell the team which DNS changes were made and whether the issue affects the website, email or both. Avoid changing several records back and forth without an agreed recovery plan.
If you cannot reach the dashboard, contact support through the website chat bubble or public contact page. Do not cancel additional services while the problem is being investigated.
